Puerto Rico has a bill like that, and it was challenged in court. The law in Puerto Rico has not been overturned, so there is precedent set already

Well would you rather children be forced to be born into unstable homes to unfit parents?? Abortion is a messy topic and something I don't like to speak on, because I'm practically neutral about the issue, but forcing to outlaw abortion will only make the situation worse. If it can't be done in the light; it will be done in the dark.

A slightly less radical approach to take would be to teach teenagers how to masturbate.

It's sad that people can't have an intelligent conversation about abortion. Correction: WOMEN should be able to. This proposed bill is ridiculous. I don't want the government or MEN telling me what to do with my body. It's creepy and as a mother of three daughters I hope I don't live long enough to see this become a federal law of any kind.

That being said the kind of person who would consider an abortion would not likely make a good parent anyways, therefore their kids are more likely to cause problems. When I do have children I would prefer them not to have to deal with said problems.
Judgmental any?

I'd say the same goes for a great deal of people who would never consider an abortion, but that would make me just as judgmental, wouldn't it?

You are being played like a fiddle. This is blatant political pandering. It is a frivolous bill that has no chance of winning in court and little chance of even winning in an all Republican legislature. They're just trying to get your vote so they can spend the next two years coming up with wasteful bills that have a zero percent chance of ever actually coming into effect.

The state can't enforce this, but it will spend a lot of money defending it. This bill is no more meaningful than a new law outlawing sunshine or making men shave their beards. It's silly and actually, pretty embarrassing.

This is preposterous. Did you know that before Roe vs. Wade, women would still have abortions, but by unqualified "doctors" in backrooms where there was great risk of the mother dying? Is that what you folks want to revert to? Besides, Texans will just drive to Louisiana to get it done. You cannot prevent this from happening. The only thing you can do is make it safe.

To those that say that's not fair to the unborn "baby"... Well, let me ask you... Do you support welfare for the baby from birth until 18? Because most of the women that get abortions done cannot afford another baby, and if they had one you'd be the ones saying how irresponsible she was and that you don't want her on the welfare doles. But if you want to truly protect that baby, then you'd need to have full welfare/health care of that child from birth until 18. If you don't support that, then you have no basis to oppose abortion. Case closed.

Killing is killing and it was wrong.
It is wrong and it will be wrong.
We can change the law.
We can let the government(us) pay for it.
It is still wrong
