I remember Boss. We'd see him at the fair and at the rodeo.

What a sad loss for him.

We're worried about my sister's and BIL's property in Cross Plains just down the road from Abilene.

Hope everything turns out ok for you!

The size of some these fires is unbelievable!

Rockhouse (Presidio, Jeff Davis) 182,007 acres 70% contained
Cooper Mtn Ranch (Kent, Stonewall, Fischer) 152,000 acres 50% contained
Wildcat (Coke, Tom Green) 125,000 acres 10% contained
Swenson (Stonewall, King, Knox) 120,000 acres 90% contained

1,250 firefighters from 34 states are helping in this effort....not to mention the hundreds of volunteer firefighters that have been working non-stop for over a week.

I read about this. It is sad. I can only imagine his feelings. A very sad thing for him and his wife and families.

Sending prayers for your sister and BIL and for all involved in this horrible tragedy.

How very sad. It is astonsihing how many large fires there are and how many homes have already burned. And 'fire season' hasn't even started yet.
