My other half is. Says he'd rather shovel snow than bring out the lawn mower. Says you can always put on a sweater if you're cold but you can only take off so much [depending on where you are] when you're hot.

I hope we have a proper autumn this year. It’s too hot.

C24L, when I saw this, my first thought was duh, everyone unless they're crazy! But then I thought there's a lot of people that like cold weather. Now me, I don't mind summer, actually like it - just wish it would stay under that 100 mark!

So by the time Sept. gets here the hot weather has pretty much wore me down so I can't wait for that first cold front! It feels so brisk and refreshing and I love autumn. But as to getting on into winter, well I'm really not a fan. I can take cold, but not bitter cold. I also thrive on sunshine. So, if it's one of those winters that is very cold with a lot of dreary, rainy blah days - I'll take the 100 degrees. But, we're pretty lucky in that we don't have but maybe a few days of below freezing where I'm at (just south of the DFW area). But I have seen winters that were unbearably dreary for days on end and those I hate.

But to answer your question, yes, I'm looking forward to fall arriving.

Okay - I will be that guy!
I am not looking forward to it because that would mean that Winter is around the corner and I am not a fan of winters. Strange coming from someone who lived in MN for more than a decade

This morning there is a cool touch to the air even though by this afternoon it will be hot as blue blazes.

I love the changing seasons. And like others have said, I MUCH prefer hot summers over freezing winters. But by September I am ready for summer to be over.

I can feel the touch of fall and coolness in the morning air and that feels like a promise to me!

I generally love Texas weather by the way. Even the gray and often dripping days of January - because it's only about a month of dreariness so I enjoy it - I like sitting by the fire sipping a hot cup of tea - because I know I will only be doing that for a few weeks!

The only thing I don't like is when it's still warmish on Thanksgiving. By then I want it to be cool. Last year we had snow flurries before Thanksgiving - and then it warmed back up and we had t shirt weather on Thanksgiving. I want to be wearing sweaters or sweat shirts by then!

Yes, I am ready for fall here in the RGV part of Texas. But there is no real fall down here, or winter. But at least it does cool down some. 80s and 90s sure beat summer 100s!

The best part about summer here is how much it makes you appreciate the fall.....
