Also throw in Jersey City's and Brooklyn's which are right alongside Manhattan and it's not even close. I know about Texas Pride, but come on let's not kid ourselves.
Agreed. Each and every one of the 28 people that voted for that choice are utterly clueless. Some of those, I'm sure, also think Houston is "densely populated."

Easy to be delusional when all you've seen is Houston and the rest of Texas.

Nah, combined Houston's skyline would indubitably be 3rd in the US but it would not compete with Chicago let alone NY. Houston has many many big and tall buildings, but just not on the level of those two.

Also Houston has serious competition from Honolulu and Miami. Neither has the height or as massive buildings as Houston, but both have many many smaller and shorter buildings which collectively would give the illusion of being big. They would look less like the big two than Houston because the buildings are less massive, but they give good competition on numbers.

SF, ATL and LA also became competitors in the last two decades.
Then you can't count out Philadelphia, DFW and DC

BOA Houston lacks no character at all, it's currently my favorite building that I've seen in person. Add in the Enron buildings, Heritage Plaza, Esperson, Main Place, and Center Point Energy Plaza.
