I recently was pulled over (Last Thursday) in NC for DUI and 1. refused to blow and 2. May consider pleaing the case as I am planning on moving to California in July.

Are there any Tx lawyers, DMV experts, or similar experiences?

I'm trying to find out what is going to happen to my TEXAS Driver's License (via DMV/State rules). Will it adopt Texas's own rules for refusal in another state? for DUI conviction in another state? If so, what are they? I understand you can get a "limited driving privilege" if you it is under these circumstances (if the pullover is in Texas), but what about another state? How quickly does the DMV get notified to suspend my license?

And if you are going to answer "you shouldn't have been driving"....yes, I am well aware. It was an absolutely terrible decision and I will never, ever do this ever again.

I've tried to call the DMV, but it's a busy signal. I've looked at laws and cannot find it....any advice?suggestions?answers? Thanks in advance!

Lawyer Referral Service

You need to contact a lawyer in North Carolina. the above link is to the State Bar Association's referral page. It will cost you something but you'll get accurate advice, which you may not get asking on a Forum.

I'm glad you say you've learned your lesson regarding driving while drinking. I hope you really have and won't forget the lesson.
