My guess is that those who would accuse me of being a party-line voter have never voted for a Republican in their life. When the Democrat and Republican Partys stop running individual politicians, I'll start voting for the individual. That's where the destruction of a democratic nation comes from, not from the voter who has to adapt.

I'll put it like this: Unless he changes many of his current policies, I consider Barack Obama as someone that must not remain in power. Almost ANYONE else would be a better choice, including dreaded Perry.

Man, our country must have REALLY been desperate back in 2008! But today we still have lots of bickering between the parties on Capitol Hill, we are still invading other countries and gas is still ridiculously high.

You know what they say: "The more things 'CHANGE', the more things stay the SAME!"

Uh... yea after 8 years of the Bush administration I'd say people were desperate. Unfortunately, little did they know how Obama was just a watered down version of Bush that was more center than right. America has an interesting view of what is liberal or should I say an irrational fear.

As to Perry, he embodies everything wrong with this state and to a greater extent this country.

He was conveniently not in the governor's mansion when it was burned, he even survived a bike crash and a broken collarbone.. he should be thankful enough that he's alive and just forget about it. (Maybe resign as governor as well)

Yesterday he vetoed a bill which prohibited texting while driving. What a maroon, as Bugs Bunny used to say.

Anyway this board is absolutely not representative (mostly populated by liberal Texans).I saw yesterday the old polls of 2010 (Rick Perry vs Bill White) and Bill White was ahead. But in fact Perry crushed Bill White in a landslide
I'd vote for Perry, of course, he's the best governor we ever had, Texas is strong and more powerful than ever, thanks governor Perry

In Obama's defense, is hard to get stuff done when the Republicans on the floor want to push abortion bills instead of education or infrastructure funding. He inherited a huge mess and we have been coming back slowly (not as fast as we want, but still). Bush got out just before it got really tough. Bastard. We need to end the War on Drugs and leave Iraq/Afghanistan. We do that, and can use that money we're wasting on both, at home, on education and infrastructure. Makes so much sense, that it won't happen (though I've seen more "end the War on Drugs" talk on the news lately).
