Now that some ppl finally woke up from the so called "Change" brainwashing, the republicans finally were able to take off the hand cuffs and slow down (the evil witch of the west) Nancy Pelosi and her goons from helping Obama inflict further leftist damage to our country.

Am I crazy about Perry? No. But the day when Obama leaves the White House for good couldn't arrive here soon enough!
...ok buddy.

I just simply said "NO".
I cannot believe that he's been portrayed as a "tea party" or "maverick" personality when he's very much as establishment as a GOPer can get.

Actually, he'll do Obama a big favor by running against him. Why? Because as much as people are upset with Obama, Perry would be even more unpopular and Obama would rip him up as "another Republican governor from Texas - not what America needs!" or something like that.

Most everyone I know, whether conservative liberal tea party etc., is voting Anyone But Obama. So I guess if Perry is the GOP winner, then he will get voted for. That's pretty much how he's won in Texas anyway. He's not any worse than anyone else up there.

Well if that's the case, does that mean Obama could be beaten in the Democratic primary?

Interesting. It's the opposite for me. The people that will vote for Obama always would have and the conservative people I know would never vote for Obama in the first place. And the Tea Party? Why would anyone in the Tea Party vote for Obama, or any candidate with a "D" next to his name? Last week people were saying that while Perry has been governor, Texas has created so many jobs. This week, people are finally calling out Perry, showing Texas' growing deficit and horrible ranks in education. People doing their homework on this guy now.

You probably don't know many "liberals" then. And the polls in all of the battleground states are at odds with your beliefs.

If he wins the nomination, absolutely.

Until then, I'm in John Huntsman's camp.

Apparently some have yet to understand that it's not Perry,

"It's Obama, stupid!"

And in 2004 it was "It's Bush, stupid", but that wasn't enough. You have to have a strong candidate to comprehensively oppose his policies and show that he/she is the better person for the job. Even if you're a hardcore conservative, looking objectively there's no GOP candidate who can probably do that.
