I just got a job with Pecos EMS but am having a hard time finding any way to look for a place without being in town. Maybe I got spoiled a little living in Denver and ABQ, sicne you can easily look for places online... Anyone have any numbers or hints they can give me for places? I'm just looking for a small 2br house to rent... nothing fancy, but finding anything right now without being there is a pain

Since the place is virtually empty, finding a house shouldn't be much of a problem.

Find the names of some local realtors and ask them. A lot of times, out of area owners will use real estate agents to rent their property.

Talking to both realtors in Pecos, I found out they only have 1 apartment for rent between the two of them. Apparently everyone is trying to sell outright instead of renting. If I didn't have to live in Pecos due to having on-call shifts, I'd look in Monahans instead... But I figure when I get down there on Friday I might be able to find something by wandering around

pecos isn't so bad the people are very nice and humble, if you like that in your life. Some people are not attracted to that i understand.People actually speak and make time to have conversations. come on now. yeah im not from here but if your used to the fast life and need to do something every minute yeah not recomended for you. BUT IF YOU LOVE PEOPLE YOU JUST MIGHT LIKE IT! You come to pecos you come to see the people. not the sites.
