Any of them besides southeast and southcentral would be possible. If I'm gonna roast in the swamp or on the prairie it might as well be in Texas. The desert southwest is nice enough, but I'd rather enjoy the snow in Alaska or Canada.

One vote for:

C A L I F O R N I A

I'm not from TX, so perhaps I'm not allowed to vote. But, for what it's worth, I'm from MD, will soon be in TX, and based on the OP's question, if I couldn't live in TX, I would go back to CA.

I voted for the Northeast, but it's really a virtual tie between that or the west coast. I would never make it in the midwest or the southeast.

Well, all of the southeast isn't a never-ending sauna, in the summer. Much of the southern Appalachians have fairly temperate climates.

Northeast quite easily for me. Best collection of urban environment this country has to offer. California is 2nd and Midwest third for urban environment.

If the cost of living was the same, I'd be in California in a heartbeat. Southern Florida is a close second.

I never want to leave Texas again, meaning move away.

If I had to leave, I'd chose southeastern Oklahoma because it's right over the border from Texas. I've also lived in Virginia, which is beautiful. I love the culture and history there. I could see myself living there again if I had to leave Texas. But, I don't plan to move out of Texas ever again. There's no place like home.

I changed my mind to Phoenix for my Arizona choice.Yuma does not have a airport so it would be harder to get to Texas that way.City-Data encourages all additional points of views and opinions.
