I'm living near San Angelo now for over a year and have checked out many craft shows and they have all been really bad. Is there a city in the state that does good craft shows or are there even specific craft shows that are really good?

Juried shows are great, but it doesn't have to be a juried show. I tend to enjoy ones that have fine hand crafted jewelry next to a booth selling crocheted slippers made by grandma too! <G>

TIA

Peddler shows have plenty of crafts. They're not terribly expensive to get in, and are worth visiting for a day. Nothing worth spending a weekend at though.

Check out the Wimberley Market Days, I thought that they were pretty good.

Market Days - Wimberley, Texas - Lions Club - Visit our Outdoor Market in Wimberley

The Austin Fine Arts Festival is one of the best that I have seen.

I attend the Peddler Show in Arlington regularly. The stuff there is always good. They usually draw HUGE crowds, especially on Friday night.

I've been to the Heart of Texas shows, but it's been a while. There's not one near my house.

the best Christmas fair in DFW area (to me) is the one held at Bell High School in Hurst--the first Saturday in December--which will happen THIS Saturday
there are many different types of crafts/booths with people coming from local areas and also out of state

Thanks guys! I'll look into all the suggestions. I enjoy going as a buyer, but I used to sell hand made soap at Christmas craft shows and may want to sell other crafts in the future.

Wimberley, as has been suggested! Also, not a craft show, but the Main Street Arts Festival in Fort Worth is fantastic. It's a juried art show, not a craft show.
