Hello, I'll be moving to Amarillo from San Antonio around the middle of January and I have been looking for a moving company. Can anyone recommend a company that is not going to charge me in the 2K range? I will be moving from a 1 bedroom apartment.

ABF http://www.upack.com/ is supposed to be good, and reasonably priced. The thing is that you have to pack the truck yourself and then unpack it at the destination. When I am finally able to get my stuff from SC, I plan to use them. I know that I can hire a couple of experienced movers for a reasonable rate to pack it on the SC end and to unload it on the TX end.

Also, check out the following website, which has a lot of good information as to how to pick a mover. Moving: How to avoid Moving Company Scams

One might move there for a job, change of scenery, less traffic, etc.

Ha. Of course, it usually melts in a day or two, unlike in large parts of the country.

No mtn. cedar is a good selling point, though.

Default Welcome

Welcome to Amarillo! You will love it here. The people are nice and the weather is usually good, albeit last year was a b***h. Stay on the west or south sides of Amarillo if you want the best areas to reside.

Good Luck!
