Do you have an employer there? You might try asking them what the situation is like. Some parts of central Texas are short on housing because of all the fracking activity that has brought lots of transient workers into the area.

Were you offered a job with Nabors? Just asking because I had talked to their Tyler TX office but they directed me to their OK office that might have more entry level jobs. I have not worked in the oil fields and do not have a CDL but have more than 20 yrs construction experience. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Most of the Nabors roughnecks I have met seemed to enjoy working for the company. Just don't get hurt or they will fire you for acting "against company policies".

they said i would start out @ $22 per hour & time half over 40 with my hazmat experience i dont know about the other pay scale sorry
