I live in Hampton Roads Virginia. I'm a young white male. Even though I was born and raised here, I'm leaving because it's getting way too noisy and crowded here. It used to be quiet here. I ESPECIALLY HATE THOSE BOOM CARS WITH THE LOUD BASS. I keep to myself and am very quiet.
Is it reasonably quiet in Amarillo?
As far as a career, how could I get a fresh start there?

Default Amarillo Will Welcome You!

By all means, go ahead and move to Amarillo. I am originally from Illinois and moved to Amarillo when I was 19. It was the best move of my life. The people are very friendly. It is not noisy in most areas. You might here the BOOMING and THUMPING of stereos if you live in the far east or north sides. South and west Amarillo will be your best bet.

Our unemployment rate is much lower than most of the country...about 5%. Normally, before the recession, we were around 3%. If you need to continue schooling...we have Amarillo College (Junior College) which is excellent. And, just a short 15 minute drive south, we have West Texas A & M University. Also a good school which I am now attending to finish my Bachelor's degree in Sociology.

So, head on out here! You'll love it.
