That is a very good hypothesis. However, it is incorrect.

In Houston, males have a median income of $32,000 versus $27,000 for females. In Dallas, males have a median income of $32,265 versus $32,402 for females. I don't put a whole lot of faith in numbers. Looking at these numbers you could assume that salaries are a little better in Dallas for men, and the female work force there is a lot more progressive that the female work force here in Houston. I am not pubbing Dallas though. I wouldn't live there if you paid me too. A city of D-bags, cowboy fans, and plus-size blondes with big hair? No thanks.

You would think we were comparing Houston to a small town in W. Virginia.

Dallas and Houston are more alike than different people. The differences in income are very minimal.

Maybe to you but for someone looking for a six figure income, Houston can make a big difference in lifestyle for an engineer with the right experience for oil and gas job
