Compared to buildings currently under construction, it will be taller than several much anticipated towers:

As well as the following, not including spires:

- Philadelphia's Comcast Information & Technology Center
- LA's Wilshire Grand
Thanks for the correction.

At my age I am not as sharp as I used to be. I do not understand the definition of downtown Dallas. The old downtown area is separated from Deep Ellum, Uptown, Victory Park, Trinity Groves, Design District, etc by feet not miles. In most cases a wide road is the physical divider which we all want to remove. Is downtown not all of these areas?

I know this isn't the H vs D thread.. But since you insist...

Lol, how do you figure that? Because they got a new proposal..? How many towers has Houston built recently..? Now how many has DFW..? It's about time DFW steps up to the table, but one super tall proposal will hardly "leave Houston in the dry"..

Yes downtown consist of all of those areas to non visitors. To SOME locals downtown is only within the immediate loop surrounding the main central business district.....But as for this thread it is discussing the CORES of the listed cities which would include all of these areas.

GE eliminates Texas from possible relocation spots.

GE cited some Texas lawmakers’ opposition to the U.S. Export-Import Bank, an important source of financing for some overseas sales.

Either GE is bluffing about a potential move to get more incentives in Connecticut or they are relocating to Atlanta. I personally think Connecticuit law makers will cave in to GE demands.

You rely on Bloomberg mag and GE has not said a word. GE is either sold on Atlanta or bluffing bigtime to get their way in Texas on the Export-Import Bank issue. I pity them if they think they can intimidate/manipulate Dallas and Texas. That may work in Conn. or Georgia but not in Texas.
