I remember an HEB in Nacogdoches year ago. So they have opened another location in Nacogdoches or are planning on it? Your title says a Super HEB?? Not familiar with that format, I know what an HEB Plus is like here in Bastrop. Any link to the news story on what size store they are putting in and where it is/or will be?

Oh so the HEB in Nac hasn't been built yet then. Well it will be good to have a variety of places to shop there. I think that store will just be a regular HEB, not a Plus store, as they are typically at least 120,000 sq ft and some even around 200,000 sq ft. Regardless, it will be an asset to have there.

Well, technically that phrase came from when I was living in Dallas. That's what everyone I knew called it. It was considered the middle of no where and a party school. With all the population changes and growth, it probably isn't as far as it once seemed.

You shouldn't be proud of that. A bunch of subpar chains are going to come into your town and drive out all your local businesses. HEB is probably alright because local grocery stores are pretty rare, but I'm sure you already have a place in town that serves better coffee than Dunkin, better ice cream than Baskin Robbins, better food than Dennys and they are probably cheaper and support local schools better as well. Let me guess: they are all on the side of some new highway?

We were in the DFW area for 18 years, I dont recall any great ice cream places that would be better than BR. Maybe Marble Slab, maybe. Braums ice cream is very average.
