Why was the adjustment so hard for you, if you don't mind me asking? Are you still living in Alpine? If so, what did you stay? Thanks!

Despite the fact that I grew up in a smaller place than Alpine, I will never be able to adjust to small-town living again--and I miss all of the amenities I had in other places.

My house is going on the market early next year, as soon as I get things in order. Right now, I need to take a couple of small vacations over the next few months just to get OUT of here. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't. Even being back in TX and close to home hasn't been worth it.

You WILL miss the amenities and advantages Austin offers, even though their traffic is horrible.

Thanks, WT. I have a few places in mind, but haven't made a firm choice yet.
