I've lived in San Antonio and around the DFW area but I like where I'm at now the best.

I'd like to live anywhere in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, but after them I'd have to choose Austin. I love Austin.

Others, Texas is definitely the best place on that list.

I second Others!

My favorite city would be a particular tiny town that shall remain unmentioned, lest I hasten its ruin.

If you asked me this a year or two ago, I would have said Houston, since it seems more like a single person's playground. But now, for long term practicality and overall livability, I'd have to say Dallas.

In my opinion, Houston is the city you drive to for the day or for the weekend to go play in and explore, but Dallas is the city that you live in and raise your family in.

But both cities are very diverse, have plenty of awesome entertainment options, seemingly endless amenities, and strong diversified job markets, so I believe that's what makes them so hard for people to choose between.

I didnt vote because I love living in Houston but I also loved living in DFW. Austin might be cool, but its not really my thing. San Antonio same deal as Austin.

I really dont care for the rest of the state.

Honestly, it really depends on this one.

I partied a lot harder in Dallas than I have in Houston but nightlife is so subjective now days. Gay nightlife and the EDM club scene was much more intense in Dallas, but African Americans almost uniformly prefer the nightlife in Houston. Houston is much more chill to me where its a come as you are kind of place. In Houston, people will stay out all night or go in at 10 pm and there really isnt any pressure to do either. Dallas was much more of a "getting dolled up" and partying all night kind of place. Cocaine was certainly rampant in Dallas. People dont push that as hard in Houston.

Just different strokes for different folks.
