Hello please provide some insight. I am relocating to Grand Prairie, TX from TN. I am going thru a Divorce, with 4 kids, 17,8,5,& 5... My credit is horrible thanks to him, but I need some good housing references. My price range is 700-850 monthly to rent, 3bdrm preferably. Am I looking into a safe area? I mailed some enrollment forms to LifeSchools, any advice?

That price range is too low for a 3 bedroom in a safe area. You need to increase your budget to around $1000.

It all depends on the ammenities and the area. I'm sure you can find what your looking for but the area might not be the best. Grand Prairie in general is not as bad as other places but it also greatly depends on the complex if your looking for an apartment.

700-850 won't get much in way of a home but you might find an area where there are nice apartments in that range. If you are used to a house, you might just try a nice gated apartment first and then move to a house. I'm very sorry to hear of your troubles as well. I am also assuming you've found a job?
Just wondering because I'm in TN trying to get to TX myself and I've had no luck yet. Are you from TX?
