Default Did They Forget Something?

Those are interesting lists. They needed to rank Lubbock as one of the least congested - I'm quite surprised that didn't make it in.

What this is telling me is... if you want to move to a place where you can actually go somewhere with your career, you're going to have to deal with bad traffic.

Yea I guess that sums it up. If you want a career or higher paying job, move to the city or a place with bad traffic. If you want good quality of life, move to a less congested place. I'd pick the latter...because at the end of the day when you measure dollar to dollar, it usually shows that the more money you make, the more you spend and also the more stress.

The more you make, the more you spend, and the more you are able to save. Whether or not you save anything mainly has to do with acting right. But if I had to pick a poison, I'd rather be stressing in L.A. than rotting in Brownsville.

The real worry is not the level of congestion but the rate of increase in Dallas and Houston. They will be worse in the country in no time.

Depends on what part of Beaumont you are in and what time it is....The mall area, which is starting to boom, is becoming horrendous. The frwy going from Beaumont to Lumberton is already horrendous during the morning and afternoon traffic. Let's not forget that if there is a wreck(which happens frequently) between Beaumont and Lumberton or Beaumont and Vidor, it is going to back up for miles because there is no way to avoid it. Of course, that is to be expected in metro areas...didn't realize Beaumont was considered a metro, but anywho.

The congestion in Dallas really isn't bad... it's just that the area is so spread out. Of course you'll spend time in traffic if you live 20-30 miles away from work.

Having been through rush hour traffic in Dallas, New York, and DC... I can personally say that Dallas is a breeze.

Apparently, you haven't been on I-35E going from northwest Dallas through Lewisville at 5 pm in the afternoon. Most days, it is at a crawl. And the inbound side in the morning is not pretty, either.
