I would rather spend a summer in California any day than Dallas or Houston. Both of these cities are going to feel (at least in my experience) more uncomfortable because of the humidity factor. To make it seem that Dallas is the same climate as Sacramento is just plain misleading. They may be "similar" on paper but they feel vastly different.

Houston is the worst of the two but both are aweful weatherwise. Diversitywise both are "ok" more african americans than in CA

Well, everyone is entitled to a personal preference. But one person's preference may be insignificant to the next guy, and usually is.

What we have looked at are the similarities and differences between Sacramento and DFW, that can be physically measured. If the criterion is the existence of a hot summer, both places have that. In my opinion, as a person who has lived in both areas, the weather discomforts of both are about the same, even if the specifics of humidity and temperature differ slightly. In my case, the numbers accurately describe my experience with the weather.

So my take is different from yours, and I would have hurt my own self-interest should i have blindly taken your opinion at its face value.
