That area of Texas is my favorite... Alpine, Fort Davis, Marfa and Balmorhea. I love the state park at Balmorhea.

Default ***attention all drivers***

Truckers, DO NOT STOP in the small town of van horn, tx (On I-10). Recently their "code enforcement" has given out numerous tickets to truck drivers for parking on any empty lots and truck stops. NO SIGNS are being put up to forewarn truckers, the only way to check if you are parking in a designated spot is to check the US parking codes online. Save your wallet, and a headache by driving out of the culberson county area before stopping for any breaks!

Not a whole lot in Van Horn for sure. I'm a trucker and the only thing there is American Talc Co. When I go there I either stay at the truck stop at exit 159 or at the plant and never had any problems with the law. Pretty desolate place though.
