5-6 years ago, there was a "scarecrow" in a hay field down south of Austin on Hwy 183, I'm pretty sure it was between Lockhart and Luling, we drove by it for several years on our way to visit our sailboat at Rockport.

The scarecrow was probably built over a steel frame, because it held one of those BIG round bales of hay over its head.

It was really something to see, wish I had taken a photo. Does anyone remember seeing it and perhaps know where there is a photo of it?

Regards, Ron

It was probably gone by then. The hay and clothing rotted away. Also it was set back a good distance from the East side of the road, so it was hard to see unless you just happened to be looking that direction as you drove by that particular field.
