Oh my gosh, just about anyone??? I say that now, careful what you wish for! It will be a Republican, just hoping for the end of the cronyism. The way I see Rick Perry is he is for Rick Perry.

Depends on if we have a 3rd party or independent on the ballot, IMO. Last time he won with something like 30% of the vote, I believe. I voted for Hutchison in the primary.

I think the better question might be: Who will be the next Lt. Gov?
I know it is debatable, but that position holds as much, if not more power than the Governor of Texas. If you look and see who is running for that spot in 2014, you can see why: Comptroller Susan Combs, Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson, and Ag Commissioner Todd Staples so far...

I think Attorney General Greg Abbott has thrown his hat into the ring for gov...

I agree. It sickens me to know that he'll be our governor for as long as he wants, but it's the unfortunate truth.
