I think calling one's father daddy is pretty southern. My father was from up north, so aside from when I was really little, daddy didn't stick.

I call my momma "woman"....she slaps me.....and I say, "hey woman, what'dya do that for?!?!?"....and then she smacks me again(ad infinitum). The End

It's Daddy and Mama to them or other members of the family. I feel kind of immature saying it but I'd feel really strange changing it at this point, so I really don't say them often. I say my mother or my father to other people.
