Does anyone here work at L-3 in Waco Texas? I would like to know about the work environment and the people you work with. I have worked for L-3 before, and am considering a move to Waco to work there. Thank you.

My brother has been there 12+ years now.

I asked for his input, and he tells me...... "Like any other aircraft facility, there will always be b.s. to put up with. But the wages and benefits are good for the local area. If you are a contractor, well, you know the drill. But as a direct, all is good."

My brother seems happy there. That's all I can relay.

You should be more concerned about where you're relocating. Are you familiar with Waco???

I know perhaps a half dozen people who work there in various professional capacities.

They all seem to like it enough to stay and settle in the area although I've never really had deep conversations about the job. But I don't detect any serious dissatisfaction about L3 as an employer. Like others have said, wages are good for the area and a professional salary as paid by L3 goes a LONG way in Waco in terms of housing and cost of living.

What, exactly, do you mean by that statement?

Before you go off on me. I'm one of the biggest defenders of Waco on here. It wasn't meant as anything negative; it's just that Waco [Texas in general] is a completely different world than Canada.

In my new-ness here, I've given Waco a few jabs myself, mostly due to its' lack of growth. But I had to call you out on your end line, thinking you were relating to the '92-93 catastrophe. I'm very tired of that comparison.

All is good. Moving on.
