Try to focus on the Northeast side of Odessa as far as trying to find a place to live but housing is really a issue.you may not be able to find a place in either Midland or Odessa...

Pros

Booming economy
Low unemployement
Friendly folks


Cons

Dutch disease (this is a petroleum industry term that means that the oilfield sucks up all the available labor so other businesses have trouble finding enough workers)
Housing shortage
Drought

Could go either way

Conservative politics (but not as conservative as Midland)
