I am potentially looking to move to Waco for work and am curious if it's possible to live on a salary of $37K.

What is the average cost of rent?
What are the best areas to live in?
How is the public transit system (I won't have a car)

Thank you

Where is your job? That will help you decide where to live.

There are two nice apartment developments near Central Texas Marketplace, a major commercial center at SH6 and I-35. The older one is called Central Texas Marketplace Apartments and the newer adjacent one is The Retreat at CTM.

For transit, look at the Waco Transit route map. There is also a neat feature where you can see a live map on where the buses are.
