I could also drive to Leimert Park area, but there were lines at those places, again not as good as your standard Rudys fare. I don't know why Calif southwestern food has to be so dammed boring.
Boring? If you mean why California is lame when it comes to BBQ and Southern cuisine in general I'll give you that, but CA blows TX out of the water in just about any other ethnic cuisine without even trying

Per capita GDP in Texas is higher than in CA.

$47,482 for CA vs. $51,914

The per capita GDP is especially useful when comparing one country to another because it shows the relative performance of the countries

Hello, Troll.

California is ranked #18 in population growth. Texas is ranked #2 (North Dakota - with it's oil boom - is ranked #1). With a population growth nearly double that of California, the margin between CA and TX continues to shrink.

As mentioned above, the GDP of Texas is higher than that of California. CA's unemployment rate is ABOVE the already high national average - at 8.7 percent. Texas is BELOW the national average, at 6.5.

California's cost of living is exorbitant - it ranks at #5 out of the fifty states. Texas ranks at #40.

Out of the top fifteen cities in the US (population) Texas has four - Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, and Austin. California has four as well. I'd say we're pretty even on that one! HOWEVER - the Texas cities on that list are growing at a much faster rate than the California cities on the list. WHOOP WHOOP!

Five of the ten fastest growing cities in the US are in Texas (three are in CA).

And as far as actual land size goes, Texas is considerably larger than California. Surely you know that.
