Thanks for the info, Trapper. (and the other replies)

I've been researching most of the cities in Texas on this forum. I seem to be looking more at Dallas than the others, probably because the job that I do (IT manager) seems to be more plentiful there than in some of the other cities.

I hear ya about the heat. I know we have it good here with the weather, but there are more and more things that I'm starting to get pretty worried about, and good weather doesn't trump those things. My little ones deserve a good place to grow up, and I don't want them being indoctrinated. It's already happening, and I have talks with them on their terms. (centering around grades, and if it would be fair if the teacher took their A, and split it with someone that got a C and didn't study, and gave them both a B) They seem to get that.

I'm leaning more and more toward Texas, and am enjoying doing the research. The wife and I are working on a plan.

Default Howdy!!!

Welcome to Texas where even the liberals are usually not too bad. We welcome your conservative values and you will find that nearly all Texans will be friendly and welcoming. You might want to stay away from Austin(a.k.a. San Francisco on the Colorado River) there must be something in the water up there that pollutes a persons thinking.
