Hi, We currently live in Round Rock/NW Austin and we have 2 kiddos. Our son is 5 and he is on the spectrum. He has significant issues and delays and he is non verbal. He's in a clinic based ABA program 30 hours a week since he was 3. Improvements in behavior has been tremendous but very slow progress in everything else, especially any form of communication. There isnt alot of clinic based ABA programs in the Austin area that offer that many hours. Ive heard of a Williams Community school but unsure of its reputation. My son loves the center that hes at and all the therapists adore him too but I feel that he has so much potential to learn and we just need another approach. We feel that for the next year, its best that he does intensive home based ABA therapy to equip him with self-help skills.

We are thinking of relocating to Houston should there not be any better options here. My husband's employer will stop covering for ABA at the end of this year too. We love to stay in Round Rock but if theres a better reaosn to leave for my son, we will.

Anyone has positive experiences with the aba programs in Houston especially when it comes to kids with more significant issues like my son. Also we are looking for a great OT with vast experience in sensory stuff.

Thanks,
Ifa
