Pennzoil Place by far.

It is more majestic and architecturally interesting.

Yeah I love the clean, sophisticated, but dark look of Penzoil. It is interesting at ground level and from a distance

I like them both, but I have to say Fountain Place has the edge.

Fountain Place by a landslide....I cant get past the darkness of Penzoil place....for that design I think it should have went with a lighter tone of glass for the windows...It kinda reminds me of an oil rig out in the water. I love the different angles of it though.

I love both. They're very Chicago-esque, and, quite frankly, too good for their own respective downtowns.

I like Pennzoil Place but Fountain Place is my favorite skyscraper in Texas so I would definitely choose Fountain Place in this comparison.

Ditto. Williams Tower is better than BOA Plaza. Fountain Place is better than Pennzoil Place.

Pennzoil Place would be something else if it was 70+ stories.

This is a good thread. And honestly I think each of these buildings is an exceptional example of how I feel about each of the respective downtowns in general.

Houston = Gotham-like
Dallas = shiny

It's just that simple.
