i cant believe this arbitrary thread is still going.. victory park had a decade head start for one, another.. it would be much better comparing Victory Park to the Hardy Yards project, whenever that finally gets built, than to a little 3 block development in downtown Houston. isnt victory park like 75 acres? lol...

but since no one has mentioned more improvements to GreenStreet yet in this thread... heres the deets for the hotel that will be starting construction soon.

(yes, thats a retractable glass roof above the pool)

i find that very interesting you would be so familiar with what was discussed on the forums back then considering GreenStreet (Houston Pavilions) was completed well over a year before you joined the forum boi.. much less the person that just joined the forum yesterday.

and i have no idea who was supposably claiming GS/HP would match VP because i wasnt around here then either, but comparing a 3 block development in the middle of downtown Houston to a 75 acre abandoned rail yard right next to uptown Dallas is NOT equal. it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure that out.. downtown Houston is (or should i say was) mainly a 9-5 destination practically only inhabited by office workers. uptown Dallas is Dallas' crown jewel of development.

I frequented the site for at least two years before i joined. And the only reason i joined the
site then was to shut some people up because i just couldn't take the bashing anymore. Dallas was to unrepresented.

The design of the Alessandra has come down to earth a bit more, although is still nice. Here is the updated rendering:

mod cut: copyrighted material

Still looks like a retractable glass roof on the pool ^_^.
