I know these two things make me a bad Texan, but I think I make up for it by loving Tex-Mex, barbecue, and Dr. Pepper. I just want to know if I'm alone in hating Whataburger's burgers. When I order food from there, the lunch entree is always chicken except for the crispy chicken sandwich which is just as disgusting as the burgers.
How can anybody not like chicken fried steak? Blasphemy! lol

LOL!! After all those high school band/volleyball/other trips--and tough-as-shoe-leather CFSes--I didn't eat one anywhere for several years!

Omg, I love Whataburger, I'm out of state and would kill for one right now. HOWEVER, they do have some bad restaurants. For instance, the one on I40 in Amarillo is gross. I either have to get off the freeway and go to the one by downtown or wait until Wichita Falls. That irks me to no end because I'm SO ready for my Whataburger fix when I'm driving back to Dallas.

Not only do I dislike Whataburger hamburgers (though they do have great ketchup!), I actually really like Five Guys burgers!

Jucy's is best though.

Everyone has their own tastes when it comes to food. Of course, nothing wrong with that. Sometimes a person's mood at that time can determine what sounds good on any given day.

For me, Jucy's is my favorite burger right now, with Whataburger a close 2nd and Smashburger 3rd.

If none of these are nearby, I then look for Hardees or Carls Jr (I would have to drive to either Van or Arkansas for that). I also love McDonalds, Dairy Queen and Jack N The Box.

Never tried In N Out because I'm not gonna make a special 80 mile trip just for a burger. I don't live in Big Bend National Park. The next time I'm in the metroplex I may have to hit them up.

Wendy's and Burger King get the least visits from me, but sometimes I get in a mood for a Wendy's sandwich or grilled chicken go wrap. Same thing with the Whopper.

I agree, anyone who does not like chicken fried steak AND doesn't like Whataburger, should be required to turn in their Texan card. Maybe Arkansas might claim them?

I'm from South Texas. To be honest, it's really not that southern. The Mexican culture is strong here. I definitely would not fit in in Arkansas. I don't even like much soul food or southern cooking. I doubt they have good Mexican food in Arkansas.

I'm sure several people wouldn't mind disowning those two things to live in the beautiful state of Arkansas. They might be like me and VASTLY prefer Rally's/Checker's over Whatamess.

Speaking of which, we have ONE Checker's in the entire state of Texas, and, yes, I have made the hour drive to Beaumont just to eat there.
