I feel like marjuana will lead to an ever-growing decline in work ethic. The people I know who smoke are very negligent, have very little people skills, and only talk about getting high. That's just my experience. Let's just hope if it is legalized that it won't dumb down a large group of people who could else wise contribute more to the economy.

As for booze, I think we are all well aware of its societal influence.

That sucks. You need a better crowd to hang around then. The people I know that smoke weed had 3.5 gpas in college and are working for the energy industry now. My roommate was one of them. Making 70k now working for a pipeline company, and gets high as a kite after work. A lot of those same friends also snort lines before hitting up Midtown.

Actually in Denver when Colorado legalized marijuana, the drug dealers and street gangs there had to peddle other drugs such as cocaine and heroin because their profit margin on marijuana has decreased substantially since pot users now had legal options to buy marijuana. It is no different than prohibition when gangs sold alcohol because people had no other means to obtain the item.

Marijuana for sure. Gateway drug.

Watch intervention or other shows of the likes and you will see that weed use leads to other drugs in almost 80% of the cases.

I bet they drank or smoked cigs before they did weed. Or as Brian said, drank coffee or possibly energy drinks.

I say alcohol, definitely.

However, over in New Zealand:

If We Legalize Weed In America, We'll Have To Deal With A Lot More Of These People

LOL! In my opinion, they made it seem harmless and they were trying to do the opposite. LOL!

I agree. I think the "gateway drug" theory is BS. Actually, as far as I've seen it's not even a theory but rather a scare tactic.
