good for you. it would be an amazing project if it were ever completed anywhere close to the vision rendered, but there is no comparison between the two here..

The glass is very clean and airy! The "Fort Worth" brick color also ties in very nicely.

Biggest plus??? NO STUCCO!

... Stucco?

This isn't Arizona. Why would there need to be Stucco?

i knew it would get compared to the Museum Tower.. like Urb said.. those were just conceptual renderings of what could be built there. but if that one does get built, so be it.. its a decent looking tower. especially with the matching shorter tower.

dude seriously? youre going to compare this..

Named Dallas Midtown, the project will feature 4,600 multifamily residential units, over 1,000 hotel rooms, high-rise buildings, and stores.

to this..

Residential: more than 1,000 units in at least three buildings
Hotel: more than 300 rooms
Retail: an additional 100,000 to 150,000 square feet
Office: 850,000 square feet

going by the stats provided, Dallas Midtown would be 4 times the size of the Uptown Park redevelopment project. but going by the pictures, it would be more like 9 times the size as there are over FIFTY high rises in the Dallas Midtown master plan, vs SEVEN high rises in the Uptown Park redevelopment plan.

just dont.

THIS^^ The first residential tower will be developed by Patrinely Group.

for sure. the first ones were just conceptual

you do realize Uptown Park is like 2 miles away from theGalleria, right? i agree the Dallas Midtown location is a decent spot. but your looking at like a 50 year master plan, assuming that were to ever materialize into anything close to what the plans show.
Did you know that the Houston Galleria has a different name than the Galleria Dallas by design? For some reason, when they did a 300 million refurbishment of the Galleria Dallas, they wanted to differentiate between the two. So, they switched the name around to differentiate it from the Houston Galleria. Still, having the Dallas Galleria as an anchor is a great start. It just never dawned on me. It is all about anchors nowadays because of the internet's effect with its online shopping.
So, when looking at that picture of Midtown, understand that much of it already exists as an anchor.
I still think the area needs to continue averaging 90,000 jobs a year to make this project work.

Why would you think a development that is butted up against the anchor of the Galleria Dallas is a pipe dream? And there exists more than just the Galleria Dallas to this project. In fact, I'd say the preexisting part making up the anchor to the rest of the planned development is already worth over a billion. Those high rise apartment just to the east of the Galleria Dallas are also already built.

This is the future River Tower, a part of the Trinity Terrace assistant living complex in the Upper West section of downtown. It will be around 23 floors, giving the western section of the Fort Worth skyline a slightly new look. It will begin construction soon and will be completed sometime in 2015.

Hopefully.
Hopefully this project leads to more vertical growth in the core.

I know there is a Class A tower planned off chisolm
parkway. I wish it was taller but I will take it. But everything is signaling a building boom for Fort Worth. The commercial and real-estate market occupancy rate is extremely high.

Drive 30mi. east...too many projects going up there have EIFS as a significant portion of the exterior cladding.
