You can live car free in Houston or Austin for sure, and maybe Dallas. You just live close to your job, and use a combination of walking, biking, and public transportation.

Anywhere if your willing to use public transportation and if not then move to the country !!

But in reality suffering from anxiety is treatable and I was diagnosed with this 28 years ago plus with the proper medication along with group involvement you too can live with it if you try.

My dad said I can't succeed in life if I don't drive. I see people walking everyday and he thinks its bad to be a walker.

FWIW, some very successful people don't drive, like many Manhattanites for example. I know a successful guy that was born in New York City and lived there for many years and never got a driver's license while he was there. Of course, NYC has multiple public transportation options and a plethora of taxi cabs so it's much easier not to drive a car there. With that being said, many very successful people in all cities never drive. Of course, they can afford to hire a limo driver to take them everywhere.

Here in Texas it's a huge challenge not to drive a car if you're not wealthy enough to hire a driver. However, it can be done. Like some of the others have said, Austin, Dallas, or Houston are probably your best choices.

Edit: I forgot to mention...Like some of the others have said, you might at least try some counseling/therapy/medications for your anxiety problems. That might improve your life, even beyond the anxiety related to driving.
