We are heading out to check out Fayetteville soon, I was hoping somebody who has been there could give me an honest review of the town? I'm liking the look of the school, and the town seems pretty country-like, which is exactly what we're looking for. But what are the people like there? Especially the kids? Are the neighbors welcoming, good ole southern folk? Or something different?
Thank you!

Very small town, they are probably just the same as most small towns - friendly to you if you are friendly to them. Also, similar to many small towns, they likely have less tolerance for difference - if you are the tatted/pierced/wild-haired type, you may not fit in as well as you would in the major cities. Not sure what the main congregations are there, but you might want to make sure you are in one of the top two or three .

Be aware that you are less than 5 miles from a large coal-fired power plant, albeit a pretty well controlled one. It probably has a limited life expectancy with all the new rules, though. I doubt it makes it 10 year, or possibly even 5.
