Houston Galleria could learn a thing or two from North Park on growing older gracefully.

Honestly, I noticed that too. The original section had a barrel vaulted skylight and in the expansion it’s like they totally strayed away from that original design element. The Galleria Dallas (even with its expansions in the past) looks pretty consistent in its look. The same can also be said for NorthPark.

Galleria Dallas is not an embarrassment at all. It's still a nice mall and is actually improving. The new Apple store will be a big draw.

Embarrassment is the wrong word. If it Dallas Galleria were trying to be the Houston Galleria, then yes it would be an embarrassment because it’a only a million calibers lower. But it doesn’t try to be. NorthPark on the other hand does.

But get real man, 90% agree that Galleria Dallas isn’t subpar to Houston Galleria? More like 99.99% of people agree that Houston’s Galleria is far superior Dallas gallerja with the .01% consisting of only you.

Yes, Dallas has malls in the Galleria’s caliber. But it’s not the “Dallas Galleria”.

The way it goes is in Houston:

The Galleria
River Oaks District

In Dallas:

Dallas Galleria
Highland Park Village

Everything else is of much lower calibers.

NorthPark tries to be like the Houston Galleria? Since when? The Houston Galleria looks like any other average mall in America. There’s nothing particularly unique about it.

You sort of had me when you rightfully pointed out how he was exaggerating on the Dallas Galleria. Then you lose your credibility here.

The Galleria hate from Dallasites is actually kind of funny. But some things are too dumb to be worth it. So I’ll get the Travel Channel to do it for me.

As nice as the NorthPark Mall is, where does it rank amongst the top 10 malls in USA.

I’m not hating on The Galleria at all. But let’s be real. From an architectural standpoint, The Galleria is an average looking mall.

Does The Galleria have an art collection? Does The Galleria have timeless midcentury modern architecture? Was The Galleria the first mall to be featured in Vogue? Was The Galleria named one of the seven retail wonders of the modern world? NO. That’s not hating, that’s facts.

The Galleria is the largest mall in Texas. That’s a great accomplishment, but that’s where it ends.

...If you paid attention i meant 90% diagree with it being an embarrassment!!......90% of people in general think its a very nice mall....The store selection is what differentiates the two. Not the size or look. Because while alot smaller its still the most visually attractive one out of the two....thanks for your time.
