Balenciaga is opening in Highland Park Village in the empty space next to Christian Dior.
No online articles yet, but the maps in the village show it as "coming soon".

I was just thinking today that Balenciaga would come to Dallas. They have a pretty nice selection at Neiman's already.

I always knew they would open in Dallas. It's such a great location. That space is tiny though. But glad Dallas once again is getting another big name designer.

I do believe that 2013 is officially now over, so this thread can effectively be closed now, right?

I second that. We can start a 2014 thread.

Don't be silly. It's not necessary, and you know it.

Dallas has a CLEAR edge over Houston. The same edge that it had 12 months ago and will have 12 months from now. That fact is so evident that the previous thread had mostly become about simply what's going on in Dallas.

Now, if we wanted to talk about fashion in Texas in general, I would welcome that. But a new thread rehashing the same Houston vs. Dallas sub-topic makes no sense.

Hey it is their go to thread. Whenever they feel down and lonely they just start talking about shopping! It is a Dallitude thing I also think they fear their edge in luxury shopping is slipping and they want more current information. Kind of like a hypochondriac constantly monitoring his pulse rate...

Possibly, but I still feel that a brand new thread on the same, unchanging topic is absolutely pointless. A certain someone knows it is too, but they can go ahead and be a homer.

I don't think of this thread as a place to put any city down. Both cities have their positives in luxury retail. I think it's a great place to discuss retail developments in both cities.

Perhaps a new thread should be started that doesn't have a poll or competitive title. Also, please stop the negative personal attacks toward my intentions and character.

On that note... it appears that Oscar de la Renta has closed up shop at NorthPark. Anyone have the scoop on this one? I know that Oscar de la Renta like Giorgio Armani had a lot of competition with Neiman Marcus customers.
