That's why we bought on the water AND installed a pool.

Cold.

I loathe the heat, anything hotter than 85 is too much for me. However, I'm not uncomfortable in the cold (when dressed appropriately) until the wind chill hits the negatives and I'm outside for an extended period of time. Just personal preferences.

And that probably means from May to October!

I finally turned on the AC yesterday. It's just now getting hot.

*SIGH* But I do have summer tomatoes and green chile to look forward to!

Hurry up November, LOL!

Think about it... Texas with 90 degrees consistently from late May to early September in most of Texas, while Northeast and Midwest usually get under 32 F high, normally from these months. Don't forget that they do get blizzards, here and there, but not all the time.
I'd choose neither.

Texas summer heat and Midwestern cold are both absolutely miserable in different ways.

The cold in the west is much better--northern NM, CO, northern AZ, etc. Temps do drop, but it's generally a dry cold with powdery snow--much easier to tolerate than anything the Midwest/NE have to offer.

Yep, pretty much. We did have a short hailstorm with golf ball sized hail mixed with smaller hail which was followed by some rain which really cooled us off. Didnt last very long though. We had 82mph wind gusts for 5 minutes too. lol

The weather sucks where I'm at, you either freeze your grapes off in the winter or wait till spring/summer and dodge EF4s parading around your neighborhood like they own the place. If you can promise me extreme heat without the twisters I would be happy.

As we just had our coldest winter in NYC in a very very long time and battled tons of blizzards and snow, I will welcome the 4 months of 90 degree heat.... I love the heat, and knowing I'll get a reprieve without all the winter cold will make me appreciate the fall that much more!
