My husband and I want to move from Keller in the DFW area. We have been here for about 7 years now and it had that small town feeling when we first got here. Now it is getting bigger and there seems to be a lot more crime in the area. We would love to live in a safe small town, but also not too far from the city for when we need to do some major shopping. We have a 3 year old that will be starting preschool pretty soon so a good school district is a MUST. We dont want to spend a ton of money as this would be our first home so we would like to stay in the 125-150k range. Are there any towns you would recommend looking into? Any specific towns we should stay away from? I have been looking at different threads here but the most recent ones I found were from 2005-2011. Not sure if any of the info on there is very accurate 5 years later.
