How long do you think this drought/La Nina will last?

Only 2.4 inches of rain in San Antonio in the last 4 months due to the La Nina pattern.

I heard La Nina usually lasts for about 5 months..

In southeast Texas, we have had near record rainfall this year. Also, one of the overall coolest summers on record, too. No drought for us...

I can't say how long the drought will continue before it ends, but this is a very good web site to see an up-to-date map of the current drought conditions for the whole USA:

US Drought Monitor

As you can see, Texas is in relatively good shape so far, at least compared to some other areas like the southeast and southwest.

Like the others on here said, it is way too earlier to call when the drought will end. However, if La Niña hangs on during the summer, we will break the dry spell by then as typically La Niña summers are usually wet here.

Rather than debate these posts and take the thread in an off-topic (for the forum) direction, let's just let these posts stand as one member's opinion.

Feel free to offer your own opinion in reply to the original post that agrees with or differs from those posts. Just don't make it a reply to these posts.
