I think Hunt, TX is about as pretty as it gets. But I would probably live in Ingram or Kerrville, which are adjacent to it w/o being as far removed.

I'm with the poster who mentioned Blanco TX. No where close to being over developed. Another town is Medina and surrounding area.

These towns are like day and night compared to Marble Falls.

... Poster #10 (BobLoblawsLawBlog) mentioned Canyon Lake, last year ...

I think Canyon Lake is one of the "best undiscovered areas" of TEXAS.
Homes are still fairly-inexpensive there, and Hill Country views are expansive! Some places have great views of the Lake, too.

My Daughter-in-Law's Dad had his place in Marble Falls for sale, so that he could purchase a place on Canyon Lake ... Now, there's some "irony" for ya!

Canyon Lake is close-enough to New Braunfels (same county), and to San Antonio, should you have hankerin's to go to either place. And, with all the rain in the Hill Country, this year, lake levels have hit 100%-of-full, which bodes well for those who enjoy lake-water sports.
Personally, I <heart> Canyon Lake!
