Moving there next month. How are the cable companies. Do they have many HD channels. Are there many over the air HD channels. Or should i just plan on getting Direct TV/Dish Network?

Do they have fiber optic internet yet?

Only one over the air HD channel. I am on Dish and have more than you can imagine! I don't know about fiber optic internet...I use wireless from Nextel.

By the way, I think that I get 6 local channels on my one TV that is not on Dish. We have Fox, ABC, NBC, CBS, AISD TV, and a Religious Channel. Only the CBS is HD.

Thanks.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you pay per month?

I pay a lot, but I have HDTV, all of the movie channels, usually purchase a few movies, and have the largest and most expensive plan with the most channels. It runs me about $120/month. (That's what you do when you have five grandkids who spend lots of time at your house.)
