I am considering moving back to Texas but the sound of a huge city (Houston where I'm from ) doesn't sound appealing. I am considering College Station since I will work for a university. I would love to hear thoughts of any in their 30's currently living there? I am single and am definitely ok not being in a city with a hopping singles bar scene- not my thing. Thank you!

Hi! My husband and I are in our 30s. There isn't a whole lot to get into around here. My husband works with some guys in their 30s that are unmarried. They say the area is not great for the whole dating scene either. A lot of the people that are available are college aged, etc... Otherwise, we think people are very friendly. It is definitely not a large city. I hope this helps.

You might be lacking for dates in College Station if you are 34 and single. I think College Station in your 30s would be okay if you were married or in a very solid LTR. But I wouldn't recommend starting from scratch in your 30s in a college town. If there are other job opportunities that you are considering, you might want to look at cities where the university is less dominant.
