Does it get as hot in corpus as it does in Houston? In the summer.

Thank you! I've been during the summer, I'm considering moving there. I hate the heat so I was hoping so.

Corpus Christi is hotter than Houston during summer; the average high on the warmest month is 94F for Corpus vs 92F for central Houston. Corpus Christi, unlike Houston, is built directly on coastal waterfront, and thus, sea-breezes are stronger and more consistent compared to conditions in Houston. However, Corpus Christi is also quite drier than Houston, especially during summer; there is less days of rain on average in Corpus Christi's summers versus Houston's, and the wettest summer month in Corpus averages only 3.36 inches of rain vs 7.10 inches for Houston's wettest summer month. In all, the sun, and associated heat, would bear down on you far longer in Corpus during summer than it would in Houston, which has plenty of reprieve due to the greater amount of cloud/thunderstorm activity.

If I owned Corpus Christi, I'd rent it out and move to Hell in summer!
