My husband was laid off from his oilfield job but he was happy for it. He got a really good local driving job making the same as before, well sort of, lol. Anyways the only complain he has is the traffic. When he was driving before he never hit the city but now he is always all over. Great opportunities here for CDL drivers, he always finds out good job opportunities from drivers he meets throughout his day.

What about the commute from New Braunsfels to Lackland and University of Texas?

I appreciate your time. Thank you.
Assuming you are speaking of UTSA since you mentioned Lackland I would look into Boerne if you are looking for suburb, well not wanting to be in city. It all depends where you will be spending more time or commuting to though. If you are going to school full time and daily then Boerne or Fair Oaks would be good and great if your child is school aged. The area around UTSA is nice but it is very congested I drive there daily and it is starting to drive me nuts and I wish I had moved to Boerne just to have a escape as I prefer smaller towns.
If you are spending a lot of time at Lackland than maybe the far west side is nice too. However they are still in San Antonio schools(not sure district) which are always crowded no matter good or not. I like Boerne ISD as they are not crowded schools.

I really like New Braunfels it is mid sized and has everything, but there is no way I would commute daily to and from San Antonio. Just no way.
