She and I shared a belief that Alpine is the most beautiful place in the state of Texas. Her posts and friendliness will be missed.

This comes as a great shock to me. Cathy was a great gal and we had many good conversations. I enjoyed talking with her, we had a lot in common. She was active and we used to talk about our swims, etc. It's just such a shock.

She was close with her younger sister who just recently moved from Austin to Corpus. Cathy always said she liked the mountains and her sister liked the beach, but she did go to Corpus to spend a week with her sister in the spring and she told me she had a great time while she was there. I'm happy they got to spend that time together.

I will miss you Cathy

Thank you Joqua for sharing this information and thank you as well High_Plains_Retired for letting us on the Texas forum know.

RIP Cathy
I did not know she was going to leave Alpine. Was she planning on going back to NM? She and I used to exchange many direct messages. She certainly was a fun lady and will be sorely missed.

Things didn't turn out quite that well for her in Alpine and after months of dealing with it, she told me she had decided to sell and move. She had mentioned leaving several times after she got settled in Alpine, but kept hoping it would improve, (which it did to an extent, just not enough) but the last several times I talked with her, she had made up her mind to leave and was looking at other areas and busy getting things in order to put the house up for sale.

She was a fun person and will most definitely be missed. She was too young for something like this to happen to her and that makes it far more sad.

She'll be missed. She had a great deal of knowledge about the western part of the state.

Thank you. Too young for sure and she seemed to totally love life.
