HEB in the Austin area carries it. They used to have a ton of it when Blue Bell was closed, but now they only have a small presence in the ice cream case.

Just for reference about the deaths in Kansas (The only deaths with a link to Blue Bell products) I found this tidbit in the Wall Street Journal which is usually a responsible rag.:

" But listeriosis didn’t cause the deaths, according to Kansas Department of Health and Environment spokeswoman Sara Belfry."
Listeriosis Linked to Blue Bell Ice Cream Wasn

Apparently someone with a compromised immunity (weakened state of health) is at risk from listeria toxicity. The 3 deaths is Kansas were people (patients) already in the hospital for unrelated causes.

I'll stick with Tillamook. It's the best ice cream I have ever had the pleasure of eating.

Just about anything is better than Blue Bell. It's like throwing milk on a sugar cube. Save it for the kiddies, but for anybody with a palate, you could do better buying just about anything.

Guess that tells me I don't have a palate, or is it about you, lol. I have eaten 10 or more ice creams brands and Blue Bell is the best, for me.

I'm in the Blue Bell is overrated camp. After trying Creamy Creations cookies and cream ice cream, I couldn't eat the Blue Bell version anymore.

Thank you. I'll see if I can find any the next time I'm in Austin.

Goldenbrook (Brookshires brand) I think is made in Tyler Texas. I haven't tried all of their flavors but their vanilla bean is really good.

Glad you'll have it back since you enjoy it, but gurk, soooo loaded with sugar and junk. I'm going with "you don't have a palate," totally. If you want to make it a bone of contention and lay that on me we can totally make it a thing and I'll provide the virtual-beer for the argument.

Blue Bell certainly isn't overrated, but that Adams Pecan Pie ice cream is really good.

Until the CEO and his cronies who made the decision to sicken & kill innocent customers are indicted & convicted of negligent homicide, I will not buy a spoonful of their product.

Sure miss it though, and feel sorry for the hardworking employees who got burned by their bosses.
